Registration Information 2025-2026

All students new to the USA will need to visit the International Newcomer Center (INC) before your local school can start your registration process. The INC will screen students and guide them with the registration process. Please visit/call the INC  at 678-985-5200 to set up an appointment for your child.

All registrations begin through the GCPS Online Registration Portal

Step 1: Online Registration

Visit the GCPS Registration Site to begin the on-line registration process. Once you complete and submit your online registration, please come during registration hours Monday- Thursday 9am – 12pm.

Step 2: In-Person Verification

                Once online registration is complete, please bring all the required documents with you to ensure your student can be registered in one visit.  Please begin and submit the online registration through your ParentVue account that you should already have active, please access your account here   ( Please select the “GCPS Transfer Registration Icon”. ).

Step 2: In-Person Verification

Once you have completed downloading your documents, please come during registration hours to finalize registration for your student. Please bring all the documents to ensure all documents are submitted correctly and to avoid any delay in your child’s registration.

Step 1: Online Registration *Students who have previously attended a GCPS school at any point in their academic career already have a student ID number and are considered re-enrolling students. 

*Very important -Parents of these students should already have a ParentVue account (previously known as Parent Portal account) and should access their account to begin the on-line registration.  If you need assistance in accessing your ParentVUE account, please contact the school.

Immunization Updates:

By state law, a valid certificate of immunization (Form #3231) or a notarized statement of religious exemption (Form #2208) is required for enrollment. The certificate of immunization must be completed by the health department or your private physician. A valid Form #3231 must be marked with either "Date of Expiration" or as "Complete for School Attendance." (A certificate marked with a "Date of Expiration" expires on the date indicated. A current certificate must be submitted within 30 days of expiration.) A medical exemption, if applicable, should be noted on Form #3231 with a current date of expiration. You may request a form from your school for religious exemption.

Please review immunization requirements for students entering 7th grade and a TDAP-Meningitis parent fact sheet. The new vaccine requirements apply to students who are born on or after 1/1/2002 AND entering 7th grade. The requirements also apply to students who are new entrants to 8th-12th grade. New entrants are students who have never attended any school in Georgia or have not attended any school in Georgia for at least one full school year.

Students also must have evidence of vision, hearing, and dental, and nutrition screening obtained in the past year. This information should be on Georgia Form #3300 (rev. 2013), available from the health department or your physician and dentist and dated within the last 12 months. Letters from appropriate healthcare professionals and out-of-state certificates are acceptable, if completed within the last 12 months and stapled to the state form. 

Visit one of the health department offices in Gwinnett County-- located in Buford, Lawrenceville, and Norcross-- to obtain required screenings and immunizations for a fee.
