GCPS Bookmobile  (Schedule)

The GCPS Book Mobile program - the district's traveling libraries - made its debut in the summer of 2017.  The mission of this literacy initiative is to put books into students’ hands and encourage them to build personal libraries. The two Book Mobiles, called Pow and Explore, operate the entire year with both a school year program and a summer program. 

The Book Mobiles travel in five clusters during the summer: Berkmar, Central Gwinnett, Discovery, Meadowcreek, and Norcross. The summer program operates for seven weeks in June and July with 98 stops each week. An average of 12,000 books are checked out each summer of the program.  

The books on the Book Mobiles are available for checkout in June and July each year. The books are selected by certified media personnel from the Library Media Service Department and reviewed by two school librarians at each level from clusters served by the summer program. 

Sweetwater Media Catalog / Accessit

The Sweetwater Media Catalog, Accessit, is available through eClass.  Students can continue to access both print books as well as digital books through Accessit  Students may check out up to 3 books for 3 weeks.
